About Domaine Philippe Gilbert
Menetou-Salon, Centre-Val de Loire. Over 250 years of vineyard work, now practicing biodynamic viticulture across eight organic and biodynamic plots since 2007. The program centers on Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from specific sites. Chandelières, a 4-hectare vineyard planted between 1975 and 1978, splits evenly between the two varietals. The Blanc ages 22 months in stainless steel on fine lees. The Rouge spends 18 months in 600-liter barrels and tanks. Separately, 35 rangs, a 1.22-hectare Pinot Noir planted in the mid-1960s by Paul Gilbert, ages 18 months in barrels and tanks. A tasting room and food are available.
