About Domaine Josmeyer
Domaine Josmeyer has worked 24.10 hectares in Wintzenheim since 1854. The vineyard holds parcels across two Grand Cru sites. Hengst, marly-limestone terroir in Wintzenheim, and Brand, granitic terroir in Turckheim, anchor the program. Since 2004, the house has farmed organically and biodynamically. Grapes are harvested manually. Fermentation happens naturally in century-old oak barrels without added yeasts. The Artiste Series, initiated by Jean Meyer in 1986, pairs wines with labels designed by local artists, refreshed every three years. Le Kottabe takes its name from an ancient Greek banquet game, O Kottabos.
