Daly Creek opened in 2024 in Anamosa, built by three winemakers with distinct paths. Dan Lubben served with the Cedar Rapids Fire Department. Judy Lubben was a CFO before pivoting to winemaking. DJ Lubben sparked the whole venture through homebrewing experimentation, then enrolled alongside Judy in winemaking and vineyard management classes at Kirkwood Community College. Dan managed a vineyard near Anamosa during harvest before the doors opened. The program makes crisp whites, bold reds, and sweet wines. The tasting room is open Thursday through Sunday, with outdoor seating and live music on Sundays. The courtyard hosts events, from book clubs to markets to girls' nights out. Private event hosting is available for weddings, showers, corporate gatherings, birthdays, and tastings.
