About Backporch Vineyard
Randy Phillips, winemaker with over 25 years of experience and owner of Cave Ridge Vineyards in Mt. Jackson, leads the program at Backporch Vineyard in King George. The portfolio draws from grapes grown on property, Randy's vineyard, or sourced from the Shenandoah Valley. The cellar includes Ivy's White Bliss, a 100% Viognier, 77 Steps Riesling made from Shenandoah-grown grapes, Backporch Breeze Rosé with Cabernet Franc, and Rocking Chair Red Cabernet Sauvignon aged in Hungarian oak. Freeman's Red Oak Chambourcin is the only sweet red wine.
