About
Agricolae is a project of Ravines winery, located on Keuka Lake. The vineyard sits on steep slopes above the deepest part of the lake, on poor, rocky soils. Original plantings from the 1970s include Riesling, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Muscat Ottonel, Pinot Noir, Cayuga, Vignoles and Noiret. The Hyatt Hill site adds Gamay Noir, Savagnin and Cabernet Franc. The Dry Riesling 2020 opens with white peach, lime pith and tangerine. The Field Blend 2021 weaves Riesling, Gewurztraminer and six percent Muscat Ottonel. The Chardonnay 2021 spent twelve months in neutral French oak. The Gamay 2024 used partial carbonic maceration. The Keuka Village Red 2022 blends Noiret and Cabernet Franc. Co-Op members receive five percent savings on shipments and two complimentary tastings at the winery each year.
