Weingut Mertz began in 2016 in Eckelsheim, Rheinhessen, with Sina Mertz at the helm and full support from her parents Carmen and Gunter. The vineyard soil includes porphyry stone, tended through natural and sustainable methods with significant hand labor. The portfolio spans four tiers. Lagenweine capture the specificity of individual vineyards. Ortsweine express the character of the village. Gutsweine represent the estate. Literweine offer everyday drinking. The Vinothek opens Wednesday and Friday from 4 to 7 PM and Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM. Guided tastings are available for groups of six or more.
