About Weingut Karthäuserhof KG

Karthäuserhof traces to 1335, when Carthusian monks received the estate as a gift from Elector Baldwin of Luxembourg. The eighth oldest winery in the world, it has remained in the same family since 1811, now in its seventh generation. Located in the Ruwer Valley, Mathieu Kauffmann works with Riesling. The portfolio spans Schieferkristall, Eitelsbacher Riesling Alte Reben, Karthäuserhofberg Riesling Kabinett, and Riesling Grosses Gewächs, alongside the newly created Karthäuserhof Brut from November 2024.
