About Weingut Karlsmühle
Mertesdorf, Mosel. Vineyards on both sides of the Ruwer river, steep slate slopes worked largely by hand. The mill tradition at Karlsmühle traces back to Roman times. Simon Geiben leads the program across top sites including Kaseler Nies'chen, Kaseler Kehrnagel, Lorenzhöfer, and Kaseler Timpert. The portfolio centers on Riesling in all its registers, trocken and feinherb, Spätlese and edelsüß, alongside Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder, and Sauvignon Blanc. Founded in 1803. Tasting room, outdoor seating, and a hotel are available.
