Yooper Winery sits at the corner of 10th Street and 48th Avenue in Menominee, Michigan. John shapes the program around cold climate grapes and Northern Michigan grown fruit, building a portfolio that spans Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Riesling, Vidal, Vignoles, Chambourcin, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Concord. The Pinot Grigio and Riesling have earned international recognition. Demi-Sec, a 2017 German-style blend of Vidal, Riesling, and Vignoles, carries the same distinction. Smashing Reed, a smooth and fruity dry red of Chambourcin and Cabernet, is international award winning. The Cabernet Sauvignon draws from California grapes.
