In Vale, North Carolina, beneath the Southern Appalachian Mountains, Larry Cagle, Jr. leads Woodmill Winery. The portfolio spans Muscadine, Scuppernong, Blackberry, Blueberry, Strawberry, and Concord Grape wines. The tasting room welcomes up to 140 indoors and over 200 on the grounds. Vineyard tours run alongside food service and outdoor seating. The calendar fills with Spring Festival, Strawberry Festival, Fall Festival, Grape Stomp Festival, Christmas Wine Festival, and Vineyard Blessing. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday 1 pm to 5 pm. Handicap accessible. The wines reach over 200 retail locations.
