About
Woodhawk sits on a hilltop in Healdsburg, looking south over Alexander Valley and the Russian River at the northern end of Sonoma County. Nearly 70 acres, 1,000 feet above sea level, planted entirely to Cabernet Sauvignon across six blocks. Twenty-four thousand vines over 21 acres in Laughlin Loam. The original planting came in 2000. Red blotch struck in 2014, forcing replanting in 2015 and 2016. The program now yields 70 to 80 tons annually, translating to roughly 5,000 cases.
