About

Wallig Christian tends vineyards on primary rock soils in the western Weinviertel, on the foothills of the Manhartsberge. The family has worked this land for generations. Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, and Zweigelt form the program, with white varieties claiming roughly eighty percent of the vineyard area. White wines age fresh and fruity in stainless steel. Reds mature in large wooden barrels. The work has earned Gold at the NÖ Landesweinprämierung for Weinviertel DAC, Sauvignon Blanc, Weißburgunder, Rosé, and Zweigelt, and at Frankfurt International Trophy for Blauburger. A self-service wine shop, HerWeinspaziert, operates at Hauptplatz 3 in Pulkau.
