Wallig

About

Wallig sits in Pulkau, western Weinviertel, on ancient rock soils on the foothills of the Manhartsberge. Vineyards have passed through generations of family hands. The program leans white, eighty percent of the vineyard devoted to Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, and Zweigelt. Whites age fresh and fruity in stainless steel. Reds mature in large wooden barrels. The cellar's recent honors include Gold for Weinviertel DAC, Sauvignon Blanc, Weißburgunder, Rosé, and Zweigelt at NÖ Landesweinprämierung 2024, plus Gold for Blauburger 2023 at Frankfurt International Trophy. Frizzante Gelber Muskateller took variety champion at Retzer Weinwoche. Visit HerWeinspaziert, the self-service wine shop at Hauptplatz 3 in Pulkau.
