About
Viña Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Domingo Fernández Concha in the Maipo Valley. The estate spans more than 3,700 hectares of vineyards, all certified under the Wines of Chile Sustainability Code, producing over 80 million liters annually. The grounds hold a Neo-Gothic chapel from the nineteenth century, a mansion designed by German architect Theodor Burchard, and 40 hectares of parkland laid out by French landscape gardener Guillaume Renner. A restaurant occupies a building originally constructed in 1818 as a refuge for independence soldiers. Casa Real is the flagship wine, with winemaker Sebastián Labbé. Hotel Casa Real opened in the mid 1990s with 16 rooms and ranked #40 in Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards 2024.
