Tenuta di Lilliano

About Tenuta di Lilliano

Tenuta di Lilliano is located in Castellina in Chianti, where the work centers on Chianti Classico in its three expressions. The base blend runs 90% Sangiovese with Colorino and Merlot, fermented for 18 to 20 days at 26 to 28 degrees Celsius, then matured 12 to 14 months across French oak casks and concrete. The Riserva 2013 deepens the Sangiovese to 95% with Merlot, spending 15 months in large French oak casks. The Gran Selezione 2013 mirrors the base blend's proportions but ages 15 months split between French barrels and tonneaux. The house also produces Vignacatena IGT.
