About

Szigeti, founded in 1991 in Gols, is a family business in the Neusiedlersee region. Winemaker Peter Szigeti produces varietal-pure sparkling wine using Méthode Traditionnelle, working with Riesling and Grüner Veltliner. The house was one of the first Austrian sparkling wine celleries to pursue this approach. The Riesling Terroir Brut 2018 earned double gold at the Paris Wine Cup. The Grüner Veltliner Brut Klassik 2020 took first place at Mundus Vini spring tasting. By mid-2023, the program had collected more than 30 awards across national and international competitions. A tasting room and wine shop are available.
