About
Stable Rock Winery occupies a historic stable on the banks of the Rock River in Jefferson, Wisconsin. The cellar hosts tastings and special events, while a deck overlooks the water. The program centers on Viognier, Riesling, and Pinot Noir, with notable releases including Rock River White, Popp's Bad Apple, and Rock River Red. Bottling happens on site, though production takes place at a facility in Lake Mills. A flight of four wines costs twelve dollars. Authentic German Beer Garden tables and benches from Munich anchor the grounds. The kitchen closes Sundays but serves charcuterie boards. A sister operation, Lewis Station Winery, has been running since 2011.
