About Stable Gate Winery
Stable Gate Winery in Castleton On Hudson began as Payne Farm in 1936. Now woman-owned and family-operated, the winery is helmed by Val Feldman, a Certified Sommelier, who produces hybrid New York grape varietals and natural raw wines. Grapes are harvested in early October. The winery also produces mead from estate honey, fermented spontaneously with no commercial additives. Stable Gate operates as a wedding venue and event space.
