About

Seidl has been working in Alberndorf im Pulkautal since 1844, now in its fifth generation as a family operation. The program spans Grüner Veltliner, Müller Thurgau, Chardonnay, Welschriesling, Gelber Muskateller, Riesling, Merlot, Blauer Portugieser, and Zweigelt. The Ziesel, a Chardonnay aged in oak with vanilla and chocolate notes, and the Mammut, a Zweigelt from the Mammutberg vineyard, anchor the house. That vineyard sits on land where mammoth and woolly rhinoceros bones were discovered over fifty years ago. Bottled wines entered the program more than thirty years ago. The portfolio has earned medals at AWC Vienna and selection at SALON Österreich, with a Rosé winning Wäldar Win Sieger 2026.
