Schuhmanns Weinhof

About

Twin brothers Erich and Werner work at Schuhmanns Weinhof, eighteen hectares on the east shore of Lake Neusiedl in Seewinkel. Erich trained in Eisenstadt, then spent time in the United States and South Africa before creating the OLD HILL wine. Werner studied food and biotechnology at BOKU alongside wine school in Klosterneuburg, returning to the winery in 2015. The vineyard splits fifty-five percent white, forty-five percent red. Welschriesling, Muskat Ottonel, and Grüner Veltliner are among the whites. Blaufränkisch, Merlot, and Blauer Zweigelt are among the reds. Weißburgunder and Chardonnay complete the portfolio.
