Pittnauer

About

Lorenz Pittnauer established the winery in 1959, and three generations of Pittnauers now lead the program. Seventeen hectares around Lake Neusiedl supply the cellar with fruit for white and red wines. White wines ferment and age in stainless steel. Reds spend time in large wooden barrels or smaller formats, 500 litre or 225 litre. The portfolio spans Müller Thurgau, Bouvier, Welschriesling, Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Weißburgunder, Muskat Ottonel, Zweigelt, and Pinot Noir. The Junger 2025 blends Müller Thurgau and Bouvier. Visits to the tasting room require advance reservation.
