About Scheggiolla
Scheggiolla sits 300 meters above sea level in Castelnuovo Berardenga, where 7500 vines and olive trees share the slope. The program centers on Sangiovese. The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione comes from a single 1.5 hectare vineyard, pure varietal, aged three years across steel, oak, and bottle. The Chianti Classico blends Sangiovese with occasional Merlot, spending over a year in the same progression. The Riserva holds to Sangiovese alone, aged for over two years in steel, oak, and bottle. Lelle, an I.g.t Rosso Toscano, was made to honor the winemaker's father. It rests in steel and bottle. Outdoor seating overlooks the work.
