About Scharinger
Christine and Josef Scharinger established their winery in Röschitz in 2001, anchoring the program around Grüner Veltliner. The flagship wine appears across two expressions, the Weinviertel DAC at 13.0% alcohol and the Klassik at 12.5%, both from the 2025 vintage. The cellar also works with Gemischter Satz, Weißer Burgunder, Muskateller, Blauburger, and Zweigelt. A second vineyard location in Heldenberg, 20 km distant, feeds the production that flows back to Röschitz for pressing and bottling. The house makes Sekt from Grüner Veltliner using the Charmat method. An Aussichtswarte overlooks Röschitz.
