San Pedro was founded in 1865, its original home in Molina anchoring the house for 150 years. Now part of VSPT Wine Group, the winery established a Cachapoal Andes facility in 2002, releasing its first wines from the 2003 vintage. The Altair project began as a partnership between San Pedro and Château Dassault, with consultant Pascal Chatonnet and winemaker Ana María Cumsille working across 70 hectares of Bordeaux varieties, Syrah, and Carménère planted at the foot of the Andes. San Pedro acquired full ownership of Altair in 2007. The fine wine portfolio spans Altair, Cabo de Hornos, Kankana de Elqui, Sideral, and Tierras Moradas.
