About Russian Ridge Winery, LLC
Russian Ridge Winery opened in 2011 in San Carlos. Scott and Spencer Townsend have been making wine together since the late 1990s, focusing on Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The 2014 Concerto earned Double Gold at the 2017 S.F. Chronicle competition and 91 points at the S.F. International Wine Competition, with 88 points from Wine Enthusiast. The 2015 Concerto repeated Double Gold and 91 points at the 2018 S.F. International. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon took Double Gold at the 2018 S.F. Chronicle, and the 2017 Cabernet Franc Blend won Double Gold at the 2020 S.F. International. The tasting room at 919 Washington Street opens Friday evenings on the last Friday of each month from 5 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM. Food is available. The space accommodates events for up to 50 guests.
