Rose River Vineyards sits in Syria, Virginia, one hour forty-five minutes from Washington DC. The Rose River itself runs spring-fed over river rock, clear and minimal in sediment. Fly fishing here is catch and release, with rod numbers limited daily to keep the water uncrowded. Orvis endorsed fly fishing school classes are taught on the farm. The property serves as the national home waters for Project Healing Waters. Luxury rental cabins are available, and food is served on site. There is no tasting room.
