Just north of Chico, Roney Wines is a small family operation drawing from vineyards across California. The Barbera and Zinfandel come from Amador County. Pinot Noir arrives from Anderson Valley, fermented with 50% whole clusters and 50% partially crushed berries, then aged 20 months in 50% new French oak. The Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Ghost Block Vineyard in Yountville, a 16-acre organically grown site, earned Double Gold at the 2019 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. The program also includes a dessert-style wine in 375ml bottles. Visits by appointment.
