About Red Newt Cellars, Inc.
Red Newt Cellars opened in Hector in 1998. The Bistro opened in 1999 under founding chef Debra Whiting, serving lunch Friday through Sunday from noon to 3:30pm and dinner Friday and Saturday from 5 to 8pm. The tasting room pours daily from 11am to 5pm, with lite fare available from 12 to 4pm. The winery produces Gewurztraminer, Merlot, and Riesling, including the 2012 Curry Creek Gewurztraminer, 2012 Merlot Essence Barrel Reserve, and 2013 Riesling Lahoma.
