Salem, Oregon. East Willamette Valley, at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, along the banks of the Pudding River. Pudding River Wine Cellars was founded in 2004, releasing its first commercial vintage in 2006. The program centers on Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris. A boutique operation with estate vineyard, custom crush winemaking, and a tasting room open Friday through Sunday, noon to five, with weekday appointments available February through December. Outdoor seating and a picnic area are available on the property. The house's wines have earned recognition from Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast, with high marks at the San Francisco International Wine Competition. Two membership tiers, Heritage and Kinship, serve the cellar's direct-to-consumer work.
