About Podere Grattamacco

Podere Grattamacco was founded in 1977 as the second winery established in Bolgheri, and the first to vinify Bolgheri Rosso. Eighty hectares comprise the estate, with 34 planted to vineyard and 5 to olive grove across white clay and flysch soils. From the 1980s onward, international varietals joined the program alongside Sangiovese, which remains anchored in the Bolgheri Superiore blend. The portfolio spans Sangiovese, Vermentino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, with notable releases including Bolgheri Superiore, Bolgheri Rosso, L'Alberello Toscana IGT, and Vermentino. The Bolgheri Superiore 2022 marks the fortieth vintage of this wine. Tasting experiences include a retrospective tasting of four historical vintages.
