About Pindar Vineyards
Pindar Vineyards has been making wine in Peconic since 1979, working across a portfolio of Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Gamay Noir, Syrah, and Gewurztraminer. The 2015 Cabernet Port and 2019 Syrah both earned Gold Medals at the 2026 New York Wine Classic. The tasting room in Peconic opens daily from 11am to 5:30pm. Private tours are available weekdays by appointment. Live music plays every Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5pm. A 156-foot wind turbine manufactured by Northern Power Systems of Vermont powers at least 80 percent of all winery operations. A wine store location operates in Port Jefferson.
Tasting Experiences
Winery Tours
Guided tours of the vineyard and winemaking facility followed by semi-private wine tasting. Offered Saturdays & Sundays at 12 noon and 2:30pm May through October. Private tours available Monday-Friday by appointment for $40 per person.
Live Music
Live music every Saturday & Sunday from 1-5pm at the Peconic tasting room. Sunset Fridays on the Deck with live music Friday nights 4-8pm.
Pavilion Tables
Reserve a table on the pavilion Saturday or Sunday. Up to 8 guests per table for $50.
