About Pietroso
Pietroso began in 1970 when Domenico 'Delfo' Berni planted vines in Montalcino. Today Gianni Pignattai and his family tend the work. The cellar sits near the historic village, overlooking Val d'Arbia, where Sangiovese grows across five distinct vineyard zones. Every harvest is done by hand, every grape sorted by hand. The program centers on Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and its Riserva expression, alongside Rosso di Montalcino DOC and the house wine, Berni Domenico IGT. Oak ages the wines. Food is served.
