Opitz Michael, founded in the late 2000s in Apetlon, works across the Neusiedlersee region's distinct vineyard sites, or Rieds. Zweigelt, Merlot, and Blaufränkisch anchor the reds, joined by Pinot Noir from Mother's Vineyard. On white, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay form the spine. The program includes reserve expressions, Blaufränkisch from Ried Vierteljoch, Pinot Gris from Ried Salzgründe, and Chardonnay from Ried Hedwighof. The house also produces the Buddy Talk cuvées and TIGLET blends, a red of Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch and a white of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. All production is certified organic through Austria Bio Garantie.
