About Narrow Gate Vineyards
Frank and Teena Hildebrand planted their vineyard in 2001 and founded Narrow Gate Vineyards in 2004. The 86-acre farm sits at 2500 feet in Placerville, with 13 acres devoted to wine grapes. Biodynamic® certified by Demeter since 2010, the vineyard operates without chemical herbicides or pesticides. Frank Hildebrand employs minimal intervention winemaking with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Primitivo, and Zinfandel. The tasting room welcomes visitors.
