About Mountain Ranch Winery
Mountain Ranch Winery sits on 6.5 acres in Grass Valley, established in 2003. Bob Hoffman produces a program built on old-vine fruit. The flagship, Icarus, marries 112-year-old Sonoma Zinfandel with 124-year-old Carignane. The portfolio spans Zinfandel, Carignane, Barbera, Vermentino, Sangiovese, and Petite Verdot, each produced in fewer than 200 cases annually. Recently planted hillside blocks of Barbera, Sangiovese, and Petite Verdot are part of the winery's expansion. The property hosts events on an 18 by 12 movie screen.
