Melbinger

About

Melbinger began in 1957 in Feldbach, in Austria's Vulkanland Steiermark. The work spans seven hectares of vineyard across four named sites, Hintersberg, Hausberg, Rosenberg, and Theisenberg, plus a nursery operating since the 1960s. Hand-harvested grapes move into stainless steel for aging. The house holds DAC certification and the 2024 portfolio speaks clearly, Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gelber Muskateller each earning Gold. The Zweigelt 2022 took state award. Beyond wine, the cellar produces fruit juices and vinegars. Tastings accommodate groups up to twenty, with regional food pairings available upon request.
