About
Neudegg, Austria. The Mehofer family has tended Neudeggerhof since 1709, three centuries of continuous work in the Wagram. In 1992 they converted to organic and biodynamic production, a commitment now spanning more than 30 years. The vineyard sits on deep loess soils. Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner, and Zweigelt form the program, with Roter Veltliner holding particular favor. Wines from Wadenthal, their preferred site, represent the top of the portfolio. The house was the first to fill the new Austrian reusable wine bottle in 2026. Visitors can taste with the winemaker, stay on the property, and explore the research station.
