About Mauler Jean-Louis
Nine hectares fragmented across 39 parcels in five communes, Mauler Jean-Louis works the Alsatian soil through organic and biodynamic practice. The cellar favors minimal intervention, aging wines in wooden barrels with few additives. Three grand crus anchor the portfolio. Schoenenbourg, Mandelberg on the heights of Mittelwihr, and Sonnenglanz in clay-limestone terrain each yield their own expression. The house explores maceration and natural fermentation across the range. L'Or en G, a macerated Gewurztraminer orange wine, sits alongside Purple Grape, a macerated Pinot Gris, and La Planche, its barrel-aged counterpart. La Bulle de Momo, a natural sparkling wine, completes the work.
