About Mantì Franciacorta
Mantì Franciacorta, in Villa Pedergnano, makes sparkling wine by the classic method in Lombardia. The work begins in August, when Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, and Pinot Bianco are hand-harvested into 18 kg crates. Whole bunches move to pneumatic presses for soft extraction. The base Franciacorta ages on lees for a minimum of 18 months, building roughly 6 atmospheres of pressure. Rosé and Saten require 24 months. Vintage expressions demand 36 months. Reserve bottlings rest for 60 months.
