About Lucas Winery
Lucas Winery in Lodi was founded in 1978 by David Lucas, who was VP of Grower Relations at Robert Mondavi. Heather Pyle-Lucas, an accomplished winemaker with experience at Robert Mondavi, shapes the program alongside him. The work centers on Zinfandel, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with the flagship Zinstar Zinfandel and Estate Chardonnay anchoring the portfolio. ZinStar Vineyard, planted in 1933 and certified organic, is organically farmed. Wines age in French oak within the Grand Chai barrel room. The vineyard is powered by solar energy. Wine club members receive four curated collections of flagship wines annually, plus complimentary tastings for member and three guests.
