John and Jeff Perlegos work from Lodi with vineyards planted decades ago. The 2023 Carignane comes from a historic 5-acre plot set down in the 1920s on its own roots, earning 93 points from Wine Enthusiast. Cherryhouse Vineyard, planted in the mid-1970s, feeds their Zinfandel program. Stampede Vineyard, originally planted on its own roots in the 1920s, now holds 10 varieties and anchors the 2023 Stampede Zinfandel. The house also makes Assyrtiko, Cinsault, Grenache, Carignane, and Mourvèdre. Their 2023 Sparkling Assyrtiko, the first U.S. Sparkling Assyrtiko, arrived in 100 cases at 12% alcohol and scored 92 points. The 2024 Thera Block Assyrtiko, from 6 barrels at 13%, earned 93 points.
