Carl shapes the program at Little Washington Winery, an hour west of Washington D.C. at the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. The house produces George, named the number one red wine in Virginia by Dirt Road Wine Academy. Two tasting rooms operate on the farm, one at 65 Clark Lane and another at 72 Christmas Tree Lane, both open Friday through Sunday. The Skyline Wine Club ships to 43 states and delivers two estate wines four times yearly, with George reserved as an exclusive December allocation. The Dirt Road Wine Club earned recognition as the best wine club in Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine.
