About

Lichtscheidl began in 1990 with five hectares in Eisenstadt, in Austria's Leithaberg region. The work spans white and red wines, sweet and sparkling expressions, and grape juice. The Cabernet Franc Reserve 2023 carries extraordinary intensity and elegance. In the cellar and vineyard alike, the house practices integrated pest management with a measured hand, using as much as necessary but as little as possible. Since spring 2021, climate-controlled guest rooms sit on the first floor above the barrel cellar, each outfitted with double beds, WiFi, satellite TV, and full bathrooms.
