About
Lechner has worked the same nine hectares in Stratzing since 1848, when the old barrel cellar was completed. The vineyard spans three sites across Kremstal. Kremser Kobl rises in three terraces over gravel. Kremser Sandgrube settles into loess. Kremser Gebling rounds out the portfolio. Grüner Veltliner dominates the program. Hand-harvesting feeds the cellar. Whites rest in stainless steel tanks. Reds age exclusively in oak barrels. A 1990 cellar extension deepened capacity. The tasting room opened in 2003.
