Forty-five minutes east of Sacramento, La Mesa Vineyards works high-altitude, estate-grown fruit in Plymouth. Aria Sparkling 2024, a French champenoise blend of estate Viognier and Roussanne, earned Double Gold at the 2025 Foothill Wine Competition. Charactere 2024, a Zinfandel and Petite Sirah blend, took Gold and 91 points at the 2026 California State Fair Commercial Wine Competition. The portfolio includes Grenache Blanc 2025 from the premium Alban clone, and Primabera 2024, a red blend of estate Primitivo and Barbera. The cellar currently holds 13 Double Gold wines.
