Kollwentz

Kollwentz has worked the same ground since 1569, when the Steinzeiler vineyard was first documented. Across 25 hectares in Großhöflein, the house produces Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Scheurebe. The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon earned 100 points and Falstaff's Reserve Trophy overall winner. Gloria Chardonnay 2023 took Austrian Wine of the Year from James Suckling and first place at Drinks Business's autumn tasting against 250 international white wines. Sauvignon Blanc Steinmühle tied for first place in Vinaria's best Austrian Sauvignon blancs. Steinzeiler won Falstaff Reserve-Trophy and Gault Millau's best Cuvée. The cellar ages Weinbrand XO for 30 years.
