About
Jalama Wines pours from 321 North D Street in Lompoc Wine Factory, open Saturdays noon to four or by appointment. The tasting fee runs twenty dollars per person, waived with any two-bottle purchase. Up to five reds flow through each session. The portfolio centers on Los Olivos District fruit. Petite Sirah and Syrah from La Presa Vineyard anchor the program, joined by Petit Verdot from Stag Canyon and Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from Brave & Maiden. Two red blends round out the 2023 releases, Gaviota and Refugio, a Grenache and Syrah blend. The family has been raising Black Angus cattle and growing beans in the Sta. Rita Hills of Santa Barbara County for decades. Two of those family ranches now grow Pinot Noir.
