Idaia Winery

About the winery

This winery named itself after ancient Crete and sits in Venerato, a village steeped in wine history since Minoan times, where those famous Malvasia sweet wines once shipped out across the Mediterranean. Founded in 1998, Idaia focuses on native Cretan varieties in the Dafnes PDO, letting the island's terroir and that cool Aegean breeze do the talking.
