Lyrarakis

About the winery

This family-run estate pulled two rare native varieties, Dafni and Plyto, back from the brink of extinction in the late 1980s, and you can taste the results today. They've got 15 hectares of privately owned vineyards in the mountainous heart of Crete's Peza region, plus tours that take you through medieval Venetian wine presses scattered across the landscape.
