About Iconic Wines

Founded in 2010, this family-owned California winery produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris. The Sidekick Cabernet Sauvignon earned New York Times recognition as one of twenty best winter wines under $20. The Old Gods Zinfandel 2023 is sourced exclusively from Schmiedt Vineyard on the eastern side of the Mokelumne River AVA, where vines were planted in 1902. Aged twelve months in barrel, 198 cases were produced. The winery aspires to establish a new benchmark for California wine that is authentically Californian but more restrained than the blockbuster wines that became the norm in the 1990s.
